With Sparks and Codes, I tried to balance poetry meant to be read through a megaphone, poetry of living in a time of war(s) with softer, more subtle and structured pieces. The cover art is by Mission District artist extraordinaire Fernando Marti, and is meant to fit in your pocket-an homage to the City Lights pocketbooks.
